Service Technician

A Recreational Service Technician should have a basic knowledge of RV maintenance, including the electrical system, plumbing system, cooling system as well as an understanding of mechanical components and systems and the ability to install hitches in various vehicls. Capable of working on different types of RVs, such as motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, campervans, etc.   Having a good eye for detail and being able to quickly recognize problems is also a must. Finally, a Recreational Vehicle Service Tech needs to have strong customer service skills and the ability to calmly handle difficult situations.
Being a Recreational Vehicle Service Tech requires the ability to think on one's feet and stay organized. This means having excellent organizational skills, problem solving abilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Communication and interpersonal skills are essential for successful interaction with both customers and staff.

  • Oversee day-to-day service operations of the RV service department.
  • Coordinate with parts department to ensure necessary inventory is maintained to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor service team performance and provide guidance and training as needed.
  • Monitor the scheduling of service appointments and monitor job queue.
  • Review customer complaints and take corrective action as needed.
  • Some knowledge of recreational vehicle (RV) systems and operations – Willing to train motivated individual
  • Ability to diagnose RV problems and recommend solutions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications related to RV service
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 
  • Must have a Driver’s license and able to maneuver units on the lot and ability bring units in and out of the service bays
  • Physical requirements include ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand for long periods of time, able to maneuver in and out of campers with ease
