Sanford Health Offers New Scholarship through Jamestown Dollars for Scholars

Jamestown (April 30, 2025) –  Jamestown Dollars for Scholars announced Sanford Health is offering a new scholarship that will be awarded this spring to a graduating Jamestown High School or the Jamestown-BJA (formerly Jamestown North) senior. The Sanford Health Scholarship will award $1,000 to a student pursuing post-secondary education in a healthcare field.
 
Tina Schwartz, the Director of Sanford Clinic Jamestown/Edgeley shared, “The demand for skilled professionals in healthcare continues to grow at every level. By offering this financial award, we aim to support a motivated young man or woman pursuing a career in this in-demand field. Our goal is to help make higher education more accessible and achievable for students, empowering them to enter the healthcare industry.”
 
The Sanford Jamestown 2nd Avenue Clinic offers comprehensive services including family medicine, occupational medicine and surgery. It offers access to same-day appointments and 15 family medicine providers, three behavioral health providers, one occupational medicine provider and three surgery providers, all under one roof.

Accepting the donation on behalf of Jamestown Dollars for Scholars was DeAnn Ament, board president. Ament said, “The scholarship is a testament to Sanford Health investing in the future of healthcare and its commitment to local youth in our community. It will help a deserving student achieve their dream of higher education in a healthcare field.”
