North American Bison Discovery Center to host The Great Bison Bash on June 11

Event will raise funds to support the Bison Center’s small-scale bison herd, educational opportunities, and overall mission to raise awareness of and advocate for a sustainable bison population

Jamestown, ND: May 5, 2025 – The North American Bison Discovery Center is bringing back a popular event from its past. Last held in 2019 and now renamed as “The Great Bison Bash,” this summer fundraising event includes a bison prime rib dinner, live and silent auctions, and more.

The Great Bison Bash will be held on Wednesday, June 11 at Hidden River Acres, 901 4th Ave NW, Jamestown, ND. Tickets are limited and are on sale now.

“This event was hugely popular in the past, and I’ve gotten many requests over the years to bring it back,” said Ilana Xinos, Executive Director, North American Bison Discovery Center. “We plan to reinstate the Great Bison Bash as an annual tradition, and we invite the broader Jamestown community to join us as we celebrate our deep prairie roots this June.”

Funds raised from the event will support the Bison Center’s small-scale bison herd, educational opportunities, and overall mission to raise awareness of and advocate for a sustainable bison population.

The event will include:

  • Seated (and delicious) prime rib bison dinner and an open bar

  • Opportunities to bid on live and silent auction items and packages and take home a fantastic memento or experience

  • Raffle prize drawings, including the iconic ‘Last Buffalo Standing’ raffle

  • Awards Ceremony honoring those individuals and organizations that helped the Bison Center grow over the years

Plus, attendees will get the feel-good experience of helping to support a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization raising awareness about and advocating for the sustainable population restoration of the North American bison, all in a great atmosphere to meet and greet local leaders, business owners, bison enthusiasts, and bison stewards from Jamestown and beyond.

This event has been made possible by our Deep Roots sponsor, North American Bison, LLC and other generous supporters.
