The Opportunity
We are hiring welders to join our Jamestown, ND manufacturing team. This is a full-time, stable, Monday through Friday position where your work goes into real structures that stand for generations. Starting pay is based on your experience and skills - strong candidates can expect placement well above the entry rate. We have a defined advancement path with clear criteria, so you know exactly what it takes to move up and earn more.
What You Will Do
- Set up and operate MIG, flux-core, and/or stick welding equipment to perform tack welds, structural welds, and finish welds on steel components
- Clean and prepare steel beams and components prior to welding - removing oil, rust, scale, and other contaminants to ensure proper weld quality
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols to execute fabrication assignments accurately
- Fabricate, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel components using hand tools, cutting equipment, grinders, and shop machinery
- Inspect your own work against quality standards and correct defects before parts move to the next stage
- Follow all safety rules, OSHA standards, and PPE requirements - every time, no exceptions
- Support your crew and pitch in across the production floor when the team needs it to meet customer deadlines - overtime may be required during peak production periods
- Help onboard new welders as a mentor and buddy as you gain experience
What We Are Looking For
We hire welders at all experience levels. Here is what matters most to us:
- Hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment
- Ability to set up and operate welding equipment and work safely around the machinery
- Can read a tape measure, do basic math with fractions, and follow shop drawings
- Shows up, stays focused, and takes ownership of the quality of their work
- Team player who communicates and helps the crew succeed
Pay and Benefits
- $22.00 - $37.00/hr - placement based on your experience and skills
- +$2.00/hr shift differential for 2nd shift
